BABYMONSTER Kicks Off Asia Tour with Sold-Out Show and First-Ever BLACKPINK Cover Stage
[엑스포츠뉴스=장인영 기자] BABYMONSTER launched their Asia tour with a powerful opening in Singapore, unveiling their very first BLACKPINK cover performance to the public.
On May 17, BABYMONSTER held the Singapore stop of their first world tour, HELLO MONSTERS, at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. Marking their first reunion with local fans in 11 months since last June’s fan meeting, the group significantly scaled up the venue, selling out an arena-level show and proving their rapid rise.
Emerging on stage to a booming intro, BABYMONSTER instantly commanded attention. They kicked off with explosive energy through “DRIP” and “BATTTER UP,” then kept the momentum going with “CLIK CLAK,” “LIKE THAT,” and “SHEESH,” driving fans into a frenzy.
The energy peaked during the show when BABYMONSTER revealed their BLACKPINK cover stage for the first time. They reinterpreted “Kill This Love” and “As If It’s Your Last” in their own style, showcasing their powerful live performance skills. The performance reaffirmed BABYMONSTER’s place as the next-generation leader in the lineage of YG girl groups, hinting at boundless potential.
Throughout the show, the members flawlessly delivered restructured stages and powered through without pause, while fans filled the arena with roaring cheers. BABYMONSTER shared, “We’re so happy to be back in Singapore. Thank you for welcoming us with unwavering love. We promise to continue doing our best to repay your support.”
Following the success of the Singapore concert, BABYMONSTER will connect with over 90,000 fans across Asia as they head to Hong Kong, Ho Chi Minh City, Bangkok, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, and Taipei.
Later in the year, they will embark on their second North American tour, making stops in Toronto, Rosemont, Atlanta, Fort Worth, Oakland, and Seattle. Including previous shows in Seoul, Newark, LA, and Japan, the tour will span 32 performances across 20 cities worldwide, solidifying BABYMONSTER’s status as a leading force among the next generation of global stars.
